Hi, I planted 2 Melon Melba seeds and both germinated. They were looking healthy and got to about 4/5 cm tall then started wilting. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with them? The 1st one died completely and the 2nd looks like it is going the same way.

They were both potted in general purpose compost in a heated propagator. Once they got to 1 or 2 cms I moved them under a grow light inside.

Doesn't look like it from your pics, but if you've previously overwatered them their roots may have rotted.

Other than that, melons are very fussy about temperature - it could be they couldn't adapt to the change from heated propagator to room temperature.

Thanks for the feedback. The temperature in the house does fluctuate quite a bit. I'll try again and see how i get on
