Fish pie with mash topping, carrots and peas for me as they don't like Paul (the peas that is, he can't digest them for some reason).

I have some stir fry pork strips I was planning on turning into sweet and sour pork but I'm developing serious curry munchies.

Chicken Kiev, two reduced to 75p in Tesco yesterday, served with chips.  £1 I would guess for a meal for the two of us.  We always eat very plainly in the run up to Christmas and try to use up stuff   or have basic meals so the 'posh stuff' we have over the holiday tastes better.

Mmmmmm pasta…

I have done my usual mistake of following some heavy going days at job no.2 lunking stock around with a big day in the garden.  The up side was I got a lot of autumn clear up done that was postponed by rain and was becoming desperate.  I also had a few violas and primroses that I had bought for winter colour and they got potted up in containers.

The down side was I was completely knackered by the end of it and so have cooked (and eaten) a huge pile of pasta.  I can feel the carb coma gently enveloping me

It was sweet leek carbonara which is a Jamie Oliver one.  Slow cooked shredded leeks with herbs and garlic, the usual egg and cheese sauce, no bacon and a huge pile of spag - heaven  :)
