We had a Chinese take away last night and there's some left so Paul's going to eat the leftovers in a wrap and I'm having fish fingers and chips. I'm not a fan of Chinese take aways' in the first place but Paul wanted to celebrate an insurance policy maturing and paying out with his favourite.

Soddages with plot spuds and cabbage, plus spoon standing.  My thoughts on todays weather led me towards a gravy dinner

Maybe tuna pasta bake with boiled pots and dwarf French beans.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Did 2 chops yesterday, tempted to put the this one with mash and veggies even though I covered it in extra spicy cajun seasoning.

Lardman's post prompted me to defrost a pork chop  Cajun spices (same as he used) and onions, with peas and oven chips. Just the smell of cooking is making me drool

It wasn't but I think that was just me - things just didn't gel tonight, the spuds went in the water, I over cooked the broccoli and desicated the chop reheating in the microwave. It tasted fine but I swear even the dog was laughing as I dished it up.  :nowink:

Spanakopita made with plot chard and I also added some leeks which had been cooked down slowly in a bit of butter.  It ended up as quite a big pie, so half left for another night.  Plot spuds and veg to go with, but went easy on the veg as the pie already had a lot in it.

There's one fillet of batter cod left - might as less use that up so I can bin the box. Handful of oven chips and whatever I can find that's green otherwise I have to resort to baked beans.

On the way to work, got a French stick and bacon, was supposed to be bread rolls but the bakery in the village had run out and offered us the French stick in compensation.  We've tried saving them till the next day but they don't keep, so bacon rolls tonight.
