It wasn't too bad first thing this morning. It's gone a bit darker and the wind has picked up a bit now, 8c but feels much cooler.

It's 10C, and grey, very wet, there's still the occasional gust of 35mph, but we seem to be over the worst of it...
After my garden tidy up, yesterday, I thought the stepladder was safely wedged in the corner of the shed and fence, but it did go over and it is lying just an inch from the greenhouse glass, so very lucky it didn't smash into it

We got spared the worst of it, but it was very wet overnight. It stopped raining this morning, but had started again now.

It is very grey and a bit blustery but nothing too dramatic.

Although we're a long way from the real 'action' of Ciaran, the barometer is unusually low (959mb) - slight breeze, heavy showers all night and morning, 9C.

Lots of heavy rain in the night, bit blustery & wet first thing, but got out safely to collect our grandson for our normal Thursday of going to the library & a coffee & play at local coffee shop, raining a little on the way back. But since then the wind has got up & big heavy downpours  :wacko. DIL has just collected him & I’m now bracing myself to go & let daughters dogs out for a piddle & an early trip to the chickens on the way back.

It was quite sunny first thing, but clouding over now. It has been dry so far, which is something.

Here on the south of the Island we got off very lightly,  the forecast didn't come up to expectations ,yes we had some wind and rain but nothing like they predicted.  Today has been showery but quite bright.  They are predicting more rain for tomorrow, but I don't  listen to them much  as around the Island it varies so much.

It was OK yesterday until about lunchtime and then the showers started, ending up with steady rain.  This morning it is pouring down.  The rain woke me up about an hour ago and it is still hammering away out there.

We get very brief spells of lovely and then it's evil, really heavy showers where we could hardly see through the windscreen.  Surface water is horrendous, bonus of having a diesel engine though in the van.  We are rural so the run off from fields stains the flood water so you can't see what you're driving through.  Saw a couple of abandoned cars on our way to work this morning,   parked at funny angles or just where you never expect to see cars left.   One customer all morning, £2.85 so really not worth the effort of going.   The sea against the cliffs is lovely to see though (from a distance).  At least the wind has dropped a bit.
