Rain and wind to wake up to, brief respite, then back to the wind and rain that varies in intensity throughout the day.   Both of us are sneezing and considering putting the fire on.   Doesn't sound much better for the next few days.  Global warming and getting hotter, who are they kidding.

We've escaped most of the rain but it's dull and grey again and not overly warm at 17c.

Same here and it has already started to cloud over, and the washing isn't anywhere near dry

Here, we have 17C with patchy light cloud and occasional glimpses of the sun. Forecast is for a thunderstorm/heavy rain this afternoon

Dull,dull,dull, as CRH would say, started to spit at about  5pm.  Not looking forward to having to go over Tennyson  Downs tomorrow morning if the forecast is right for high winds.  Chale show is  on  this weekend and we have followed so many steam rollers, steam fuelled lorries, making their way to exhibit. They are all camping to  protect their exhibits, I feel very  sorry for them.

It's 17C, there was steady rain through the night and it's still cloudy with a very short sunny spell, now and again.
Storm forecast seems to have been moved back to tonight/tomorrow (after me sealing up the greenhouse late last night!  )

It's drizzled on and off all day too here, the wind has gusted occasionally but nowhere near as bad as forecasted.  I've only just turned the TV on to get the news and weather forecast so don't know about it moving back 24 hours.

Nowhere near as bad here, either, and now they've also downgraded tomorrow's forecast.
Obviously it was bad for people on the western side of GB but I think they overdid the warnings for the SE.
Cry wolf too often and people will stop listening......

How many times have they told us we're going to have 'thundery showers'.  I've yet to hear any thunder this year.  I blame Michael Fish and his 'no hurricane' report back in 1987 that went wrong for their continual reporting of bad weather that never happens.

We had no storms either, just lots of greyness and persistent rain that was very heavy at times.

Today is cool and breezy, but so far dry.  There are more and more grey clouds though.  It was quite bright with blue sky earlier on.
