Cabbage collars
« on: May 05, 2022, 12:43 »
Dear fellow gardeners,

I am new in growing veggies and so far so good. But some bug was bashing the leaves of my broccoli and sprouts. I bought cabbage collars. Has anyone experience with cabbage collars?

Look forward to you replies

I've used them before, and I think they're OK, but do you have your brassicas covered against birds? Pigeons will strip them before you can blink ...
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Cabbage collars are to protect from cabbage root fly which lay eggs at the base and then munch on the roots. They don’t touch the leaves, so you probably need to net against pigeons as mention above.
