At this rate RW you’ll be sporting a new saucepan for your gift from Mrs RW, I just want to be a fly on the wall when the triage nurse at A  & E asks what seems to be the trouble when it’s sitting proudly on top of your noddle

My Darling OH and me used to save our cards, and write the new date in each year, they had at last 12, if not more years in them.   Mrs Bouquet

On advice from a daughter, I popped up to Waitrose for one of their Valentine Meal Deals!

Not bad value - £20.00 for a baked Camembert, huge steak pie, frites and a couple of lemon tarts plus a bottle of Pinot Grigio!

It'll certainly last us the rest of the week, but today, we had a really romantic, sensitive lunch ...

...'toad in the hole' with some of the best sirloin I've ever bought, and steamed cabbage and broccoli, with some gravy laced with HP sauce!

And they say romance is dead?

(I even cooked up the 'rough' bits of the sirloin for new-small-big-dog, and she went bananas too)!

I got a card and a box of Maltesers.  I can eat three a day before getting a stomach ache so they will last me a while.

Come on Rowland, do tell us what you got your lady or are you still at A & E getting that saucepan removed? :D
