Is comfrey realy worth the effort?

I think as it gives you almost all that is required for feeding the plants and once initial stock is purchased it is free should really be enough of an incentive to allocate a little space for it on your plot as we will all give a bit to a compost heap.

Even the 'free' well rotted manure will probably cost the price of fuel and the time taken to bag it up/load the trailer.

For a plant that takes a little gives alot why not plant it

I've got my packet of seeds ready to plant, both on the lotty and at home.
