When the great man wrote Saint Joan,and Kate Bush sang the song (chatted here a year or so ago, because I needed to know that the percussion was), they were thinking of Growster...

'Joan J' raas must be the best they've ever been this year!

I only picked a load day or so ago, they seem to like the rain and thunder we had the other night!

Oooooooooooooooh rasps! I love them (especially with clotted cream) but it has to be a variety with a tang to it. I replaced my old ones with another type recommended for taste and they were far too sweet.

My lovely old plot neighbour always maintained that early raaas were better than the later ones, and we always had a fight about that, but as he was in his eighties, I'd let him win...

Our 'Joan J' are just fabulous this year, and I've let them strut their stuff and let them grow in all directions, because I learned that they fruit better bending down - if you see what I mean...:0~
