beetroot bolting

had a nice few beet plants but with the weather wet and warm
they seem to have bolted!!!!!
anything i can do???/ cut the tops off lol  :(

I would doubt that they will improve from now on, and may get more woody.  I'd think about getting them up sooner rather than later
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I noticed that some of mine are too....  I always grow Boltardy and don't remember ever having an issue with them before :(

If you re-sow now there's just about enough time for a late harvest. Germinate them indoors in modules (two or three seeds to a cell) and plant out still in their clumps when established.

Some of mine are off reaching for the skies as well, so I am going to resow in modules.  It gets them going fast so you get a late crop in.

I did a mix of turnips and beetroots sown in small clumps in modules and then planted out a few years back.   It was under a net tunnel for the turnips to avoid pigeon damage, but the beetroot really liked it as well.  I got loads of both.  May have to revisit that idea  :)
