I planted some summer purple sprouting brocolli seeds about 2 or 3 weeks ago in modules and put them in my mini greenhouse. A couple of them have started to germinate but have grown little furry jackets . Is this mouldiness from the compost being too wet or are they meant to look like this? I used the macro setting on my camera - hence them looking VAST! It's about 2 or 3 mm in reality!  :shock:

It could be too cold and too wet. It's easy for seedlings to damp off in a cold greenhouse if theirs not enough air movement round them. You can't really open the window cos of frost (although one of mine is cracked a tiny bit cos mine was getting damp in there)

That looks like roots to me :?   I'm no expert so don't quote me but maybe leave them for another week to be sure

Yep, those are definitely tiny root hairs.
