I use large tubs for growing potatoes 50/60 litre what do you suggest as growing medium and feed
we use a mixture of horse manure [well rotted] and home made compost [will be trying blood fish and bone as feed] last year was not so good many thanks.

Same here. I use potato fertilizer when I plant the seed potatoes in my home made compost. Later when they have grown and  I start my feeding regime I use low nitrogen feed so as not to encourage too much growth of the foliage at the expense of the crop.

I use the cheapest compost I can find that doesn't have 'green waste' in it and mix in 3-4oz BF&B fertiliser per 30Lt pot
