Interesting question!

As a chum here has mentioned before, over-feeding can maybe stop the plant taking in other minerals it needs.

I tend to have all my toms in pots of soil and compost, standing in trays. I feed roughly every week, as the tray may fill with water anyway, so I reckon that the plants are getting a 'slow' release most of the time.

I have noticed a reduction in greenery though, as it was so hot earlier. I tried to see to this with 'Miracle-Gro', to get the Nitrogen up a bit and to a certain extent it has worked, although many outdoor toms have fewer trusses!

So it's fingers crossed, and a squirt of 'Tomorite' every seven days or so as far as I can work it out!
