Scalped strawberry question.

Good afternoon everyone,

while my (our) strawberry plants are denuded of all leaves, could I apply a weedkiller to the soil or will it affect the roots of the strawb's?

Depends on the weedkiller to be honest, if it�s one that works on contact with green growth you might be fine as long as you are careful around the strawberries & do it before any green appears. I personally would hoe or hand weed.
