Bummer this - I fear it may have been slugs, but are there any trails?

You may just be lucky to get hold of some new plants in time, if you can get out to a GC! Not sure what online availability for Crystal Apple is though...

You may be able to get some F1 Female plants still, they're just much longer - we did a few days ago (and fewer seeds inside), but you must hurry!

Somehow, it looks just the kind of thing pigeons do, and they seem to be going for anything and everything this year

(Don't mention pigeons please, they're clonising/terrorising our wistaria at the moment, and frightening the life out of us whenever we walk out the front door..:0(
