I think it is a Mallow with tiny pink flowers, and it is something like Anasicondia.  I know this isn't correct though because I have tried to google it.    It may also link to being a variety called "Princess".
If anybody can help me, I will be really pleased.     Thanks,  Mrs Bouquet

hello I have found your question again  I have found this plant  called Anisodontea in the RHS A-Z Encyclopedia of  garden plants there's 19 species not all mentioned   jezza

Hi Jezza,  thanks very much that is exactly it.  Anisodontea 'Elegans Princess'.    I do hope you haven't spend hours trawling through the book !!   I bought this lovely shrub back in June when I went to an NGS open garden.
I paid £1.00 for it,  but the tag said ' Aniseed for the tee'.  If I manage to overwinter it, and you want some seed, let me know,  thanks and regards,  Mrs Bouquet
