Elementary my dear watson
« on: May 13, 2019, 21:06 »
In my morning paper there was an article on the new 50p coin depicting Sherlock Holmes and a list of some of his stories in tiny writing. The object being that its so small you have to use a magnifying glass to read the writing. Trouble is, and I stand to be corrected, I think the royal mint have made a Rick. One of the stories is entitled  A sign of 4. I thought it was just Sign of 4. . If im right what a cock up. Hope i get one before they notice haha.

it is The Sign of Four

Australia cannot spell responsibility on their new notes though.

Just breathed in a cloud of dust examining my Sherlock Holmes collection - seems to be  'The sign of four', although can't be 100% sure as my mum chucked out all of our original Strand magazine collection for reasons best known to herself.

What they have written on the coin is The Sign of the Four, which may have been the title rewritten in a later edition

I hear they also made a bit of a whoopsie on the Australian fifty dollar note. Someone at the Auzzie mint will have to take "responsibilty" (sic) for their actions!
