Morrissons fruit trees any good

As above really are the fruit trees they got there for £5 any good?

I bought one of their small (about 2ft high) Doyenné du Comice pear trees a few weeks ago which looks to be in good shape and has put on plenty of new growth but I guess it'll be a few years before I know how good it actually is.

These trees are usually excellent value tbh, although they are not usually on a very dwarfing rootstock so could grow 2-3m tall

I don’t mind the growing tall as will eventually be planting them on the allotment would the be ok for a season in a pot

Yes, if it is a large pot so it has plenty of growing room

We bought a bramley cooker 6 years ago. It's not particularly small and I prune every year but it's so prolific with enormous fruits after the 2 nd year. Highly recommended.
