Potatoes before strawberries?

I was planning to grow some first earlies in the space where a row of strawberries are due to go, but in the back of my mind there is some issue about not growing one after another? Can anyone remember what this is and if it's a serious issue?

It's not a good idea because the potatoes can pass on verticillium wilt to the strawberries - I lost all my strawberry plants one year, because I didn't know about it!
