As I've said before I grow Sarpo Mira and am doing all in bags this year, if you all remember.
I'm surprised people are lifting them already, as Sarpo Mira is the crop that the leaves just never seem to die.
Did check my bags last week and looks to be a great crop in there already, bags bulging nicely.
They will my last potatoes to harvest.
Last year it was the first weeks of October just before the cold set in, so probably same this year, say end of September.
Looking like as last year to get 23-25lb per bag, after having a good feel and the bulges I know they will be that.
For me they make the best chips and great baked potatoes.
I do freeze a lot in October as chips to have from October to next Summer and separate those huge ones out and store for baking.
