New Raised beds
« on: April 28, 2017, 12:06 »
Hi,  I was wondering what is the best for using in my newly created raised beds / borders.  I am wanting to grow flowers and small shrubs.

Do I just use a combination of general purpose compost and top soil or not, if this is not the case what should I use.
Any advise greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I would suggest soil rather than compost.  This is permanent planting, and needs soil with structure and nutrients - MPC gives you neither.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
