[Truffle]

Good Morning,

I have a honeysuckle outside my backdoor that has started to die back and produce berries. It's looking really messy and needs chopping back and tying in to a trellis.

I need to remove the berries anyhow due to young children but can I cut it back now and if so shall I cut it back hard leaving only the bits for tying in, or cut it all back and tie in as it grows?

Any advice would be fantastic

I'd do it in two stages - tidy it up now, then hard prune in spring (I've had to savage my Halliana more than once because it refuses to confine itself to climbing an old fence post and gallops off behind the GH and grows up through the hedge too!)

I have gone in hard on one side as it was starting to get into next door's garden. The rest is in process of a trim.

Will be interesting to see if first side survives.
