Hi all, have just been cleaning out my conures cages and was wondering if I could put this in my composting bin, my only worry was the amount of seeds along with their fresh fruit and veg ? Thanks Sue

A chum keeps doves, and their poo is apparently as good as rocket fuel for plants!

I don't know really, but stand well back...

If you have only a small amount then I think I would not compost it as you will get a rat infestation in the bin . most seeds and weeds are not killed off by domestic composting temperatures . i you get a lot then you could bury it deeper in the plot ie 1ft or so soil on top so the seeds exhaust themselves before getting to the top
