Disposing of Elder

Have been cutting back some Elder and can shred it for the compost bin or should I put it in the green wheelie bin for collection.
we also rescue rabbits and guinea pigs, grow own veg

I assume you are talking about ground elder and not the elder tree.

If so I would cut it and let it dry them compost it. Roots I would either burn or ship off the plot in the wheelie bin.

Thanks for the reply , burning is probably not practical so will use the wheelie bin , gets it out of the way. Have plenty of other compost material so it won't be missed.
