If you was making a chicken house would you include a window, glass / perspex?

As long as the window was facing away from the prevailing weather I'd consider using wire netting to in order aid ventilation.

Whilst chickens do need some light in their coop, you must remember that their ancestors  were originally creatures of the forest or jungle floor.  Light would not have been full on for them as they scratched about in the leaf mold and such. As long as they have a run, then they always have the option of going out into full daylight. Chickens tend  like having somewhere nice and private to nip into when they are laying their eggs.

no I wouldn't. If you put in a window they wake up with the sun, 4 o'clock in the summer. No window it stays dark in their house and they wake up when you open the door

There are windows in our chook house becasue it used to be a goat house, but I've had a lot of feather pecking, but less so ince I painted the windows over!
