you must get sick of this query.  but here goes. has anyone tried wickes multipurpose compost recently. 4 for £15. it seems pretty reasonable if any good. many thanks   WRINKLY1

It used to be good, then a few years ago it changed for the worse. I will only buy Jack magic now. Worth that bit extra.

Not claiming to be familiar with UK products at all, but my experience with composts is that you get what you pay for, generally. If it's cheap then it could be considered the components are the same. Gardeners rely a great deal on compost to be of sufficient quality if they intend a productive outcome so skimping on it could be a false economy.
Grow lights for early germination;
Blow away on NE facing terrace for hardening off;
Small potager 90sq.m at 300metres
No-dig method, intensive planting and incorporating permaculture principles.
