Hi from damp East Yorkshire
« on: November 13, 2015, 17:10 »
I have just been allocated a neglected and overgrown allotment where I have moved to but having taken a look I find it is very chalky soil. Coming from heavy clay this is literally new territory for me. Any tips? I have taken up the allotment and made the move due to retirement. Hoping to have lots of time to devote to it - if only it would stop raining!

Hello and welcome to the forum, though I can't answer your question as I'm on London clay. Someone who isn't will be along soon... :)

Welcome to the site  :D

I'll pop your question over to the GYO part of the forum for the growing peeps to have a look at it.

Feel free to come back here and tell us a bit more about yourself if you want to, for a proper welcome  :)

If you add your general location to your forum profile, we'll remember whereabouts you are - often relevant  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
