What month do you put the grass seeds in

Best months are September & March/April.

You'd probably be fine sowing now though. The soil will still be warm and won't dry out.

If you can cover it with netting that will stop birds eating the seed, and it will grow a bit quicker.   Remember to take the netting up before the grass grows through it too far and gets stuck in it.
