3) Soft Fruit (redcurrants, raspberries & blackberries)

Best for me has been;
Potatoes, really happy with amount and varieties
First year growing dwarf french beans and can't believe how many you get!
Tomatoes in greenhouse. First year having a greenhouse and although slow ripening, very happy with amount and quality  :)

For me it was:

Potatoes - great yield and huge potatoes
Raspberries - must have had 8 ice cream tub fulls so far and they're still going
Red cabbage - I've never had much success with these before, but this years are massive, very dense heads and great flavour

Biblical plagues.

So far we're up to:
Flooding, hail, hot temperatures for weeks on end, toads, caterpillars, mosquitoes and other biting flies.

Don't want any of the other plagues, thank you.

(Mind you, we might even qualify for diseased livestock if you count our cat who took a golf ball-sized hailstone to the head.)

Tomatoes (greenhouse and cold frame) - let's just say I've already run out of freezer space and rapidly running out of storage jars!

Decided to be 'glass half full' about this year's 'Incredible' sweet corn - have been picking them only in the last week and they're excellent quality, but the cold is starting to get to the plants, some of which had an amazing (for me) 3 cobs on, and I suspect they're not all developing properly this late in the season.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
