Sorry Growster - they looked like they had been skinned as the varieties we have grown in the past have had a much paler green skin, so I'm no use here.

Goosey, you're definitely some real use here, even if you can't see what's wrong!

Aw - shucks!  I've just had a Google for you and found this rather useful info on identifying bean problems Loook at No. 175 and see if it's that.

Thank you for going to the trouble, Goosey, but it's not that, although the beans themselves when skinned, seem OK!

Our own sowed beans will be coming on soon, so I'll watch and see if it is actually a mineral deficiency, although the bed they're in had rocket last year, and also a large dollop of old manure this year!

Funny old problem, and we only had one pod like it today!
