Germination rate was about 80%.  Marketmore are okay (wont go as far as thriving) on the plot.  One of the two lemon cucs at the house has suicided for no known reason.

Flowers?  fruit?  not yet awhile!!!   :(

One just gave up, but four are going OK in the greenhouse, although two are twice the size of the others!

I think I shouted at the suicidal one, and it got the hump...

Only 2 of my cucumber seeds germinated and survived.  Spacemaster and Marketmore, so last week I bought 2 nice plants in a GC.  Femspot which is a long cucumber and another small one like spacemaster but I can't remember off hand what its called.    :(

Both of our seedlings gave up on us a couple of weeks ago :(
We are going to buy a couple more for the greenhouse this weekend, we normally grow marketmore outside in a sheltered spot (Sth facing fence) at home, this is the first year we have a greenhouse so trying in there! Obviously not doing well

I had such a severe case of cucumber blindness last season that I planned to skip growing them this year. Instead I opted for growing a smaller, pickling variety. They're climbing nicely up the stair railings along my front door. I still may stick a seed or two of straight eights or marketmore out though.

I've put 4 la diva in the bottom GH surprisingly no casualties so far this year  they refuse to climb up the netting and are making a break for the door though. Picked the first yesterday.

Might put some passanda seeds in over the weekend for late in the season.

I have 4 Divas outside looking fairly pleased with themselves & starting to climb an arch, and another 2 to harden off and chuck into the ground somewhere. Only one seedling hasn't made it, and that was through me keeping it too wet.

Tbh cukes are fairly problem-free for me. Perhaps I have curcurbit-fingers. Swedes, parsnips, caulis and celeriac are some of the cornucopia I can't grow.

I was late starting mine off. Out of 6 Telegraph sown, 4 germinated, so far so good. Still in small pots at patio windows but looking healthy. I'll put them in bigger pots in the greenhouse next week. Fingers crossed the Red spider mite stay away!!

I sowed 5 outdoor cucumbers and all germinated. In greenhouse at the moment and growing well with flowers on most. No sign of any fruits yet though ;)

I'm amazed at the germination  failure rate of some of you folk here.
In the packet I buy there are about 20 seeds and all germinated and produced good plants.
I always give about 8 to my dad for his greenhouse and the rest I put in my greenhouse and about four outside in pots. No failures yet. Always found cucumbers to be a pretty reliable crop.
I do some them a few weeks apart, so they last till late in the season.
