Hello again,

Just an update my chicks are 3weeks old now an doing great they are huge!!! It's good to see the feathers coming on the birds and the little feathers dissapering creating lots of dust might I add haha.

Any way here's my two questions, some of the chicks seem to stand tall and stretch there mouths open wide as if there's a problem? Is this normal?

Secondly is there anything I should be giving my chicks to keep them healthy? Wormer? Food substance? Etx?

Gr eat to hear they are doing so well. Good quality chick crumb. I can't remember what age they should be given grit? Someone will advise.

Mouths open might just be them regulating their temp and cooling hard to say without seeing it. Are they still in a brooder with the temp on all the time? Might be worth giving them short lengths of time without heat - I am not sure what the best practice is tho. I know how I do mine but it is probably not what you are meant to do. Hopefully others will be along. Just chick crumb is fine. I know some people worm but I have never fussed this early on.
