Do yours go orange in store? I thought they stayed that lovely grey/blue, but the bottom half of mine is turning orange.

It's still solid as a rock.

They can change colour as they ripen and mature off the vine.  Keep it cool and leave a window slightly ajar.  keep checking it   

My crown prince year has been a disaster   only two small ones!  Grrrr    my fave curry squash :(

Thanks CQ. I wasn't expecting the colour change. I only have the one, but it's 5kg so I wlll need to clear some freezer space for when I crack it open!

They are all being moved into my unheated kitchen in the breakfast area now the heating is going on more regularly in the rest of the flat.
