« on: August 12, 2014, 14:13 »
Ok I have ordered my fig tree's and now I am thinking about plums! I know traditionally it's victoria plum but are there any better types to go for? If so what would you recomend?

Many thanks xxx

I suggest that you speak to your local garden centre. They will know what the best plum is for your area. As it happens I opted for Victoria, but it is not the only one.  People will tell you of plums that grow well for them but it may not be the best for you.

You really need to find out what does well in your area. South Cumbria is famed for its damsons which thrive in the cool damp climate but they may not do so well in drier eastern parts.
