greetings to all;have a small apple tree I planted last year it produced about 10 apples,but this year nothing,is this usual?thanks in advance.

We have a very large old apple tree, some years a small crop others so many we don't know what to do with them

Is it self pollinating?

Are there other trees around to pollinate?

Is it a variety that fruits on new growth that you have pruned off ?

Was the weather bad when it was flowering ?

Get a James Grieve , they try to have more fruit than leaves !

Agree with the James Grieve. Every year I have to thin out the crop by half even after the June drop. It just will not stop making apples!

I have five trees and only three have a crop this year which is not unusual. Because they flower at different times it only takes a spell of bad weather for a week at the wrong time and you get no pollination.
