Hello
I have a three year old Fan Trained Morello Cherry tree planted 3 months ago which is growing
very fast, i have been removing shoots that are growing forward and backwards but i am struggling to
understand what to do with the other new shoots which are now about a foot long, can you help!

Do you know what rootstock the tree is on?

Cherries can be very vigourous and my mature tree is about 5m high and behaves like a thug unless I cut it back savagely!

This year all the fruit were at the top and the birds got the lot.
