Hi

I have lots of containers from last year and I have noticed some big fat weevil type grubs in the soil. I am guessing I should empty the containers, get new soil and start over. But I'm not sure what to do with the weevil soil. I do have a garden but it's very wild and as I am renting I thought it best to grow, my veg in containers rather than trying/paying to re-landscape a garden that isn't mine.

I do want to try and grow some things in the patches of less wild garden, if I were to empty the weevil soil in those areas will they eat Or damage what grows there or is that part of garden life. Help and advice much appreciated from a novice grower whose never had a garden before.

Try spreading it out on some hard surface for the birds to get at they will feed their young with the vine weevils.
