I went to the plot yesterday afternoon and found that all the Snowball onions have gone to seed already. They were put in the ground in the Autumn.

The other onions are all fine, so far...

Has anyone else grown or growing these onions and experienced the same thing?

I've experienced this before.
All sets, autumn or spring sown, are more prone to bolting. I only grow from seed now.
The larger choice in varieties, and reliability come crop time for seed sown,  out ways how easy sets are.
