I had two batches of onions sets this year. The first lot I put into modules and then planted them out. The second lot went straight into the ground. The second lot are growing but the green sprouting tops are all curly and low down instead of straight. I've picked a couple and no sign of anything untoward but they look so weird. They aren't growing much upwards at all. What could be wrong do you think?

mine has the same problem. I found little worms in my overwinter spring onion, n wondering if the worms also growing inside the onions. will pull one and check out.

I've looked inside and no worms but the onions don't look great when I peel the outer skin off.

I've dug a few up and they seem waterlogged. No sign of root damage though.
