moulting - now?

I have three birds all at least 38 weeks old who havent started laying yet, I think because when they were near POL the nights drew in, well now they all have bare butts, they look like they've been plucked, is a moult? will they not get cold? and does it mean they will lay soon? ps I dont think its from pecking each other they prety aimiable

Can't really say what's caused it. If they are healthy and their poos are normal, they have no 'passengers' and have been wormed recently, just keep an eye on them for pecking behaviour.

Are there little spikes like small hedgehog spines :?: If yes these are new feathers coming through.
