just wondered what you think the best spray is for green fly black fly etc for flowers and veg  i used to use liquid  derris but have hered it isnt made any more

I'm not sure, but it depends on whether you grow organically or not, and what is available on the market for both, and if you spray the parts you eat, what time has to elapse before doing so.  Some just use a soap solution, but look forward to other replies.

I just use soapy water, or if ants feeding off them a blob of jam on the leaves above.
