Feel free to rant about the NHS Mrs Bee - I see it everyday. Some great care and treatment, other lousy treatment and very little care.
I am one of the caring nurses (and bl00dy proud of that fact) but I have a patient today who thinks we're all trying to kill her :(
It's both sad and horribly frustrating as we're doing all that we can.

Hope your son is better soon xxxx

I absolutely agree with every thing you say.
I have nothing but admiration for the caring doctors and nurses working under huge pressure and constraints. And I seriously hope that I wasn't aggressive or rude in my dealings with those staff yesterday.

But I came so close to blowing my top! It was the feeling of powerlessness and nothing happening that really got to me.
I didn't doubt for a minute that you would be a wonderful caring nurse. Just glad that I did meet and was helped by nurses and doctors like you.  :)Off to pick up DIL now and visit the patient.

hubby started a new job this week

its a 4am start so we have been getting up at 3am

we live rural and use off peak electric so I've been in my element baking away on the cheap rate electric  ;)

in my oven now I have spiced  pumpkin cake , sausage and roast pumpkin and Yorkshire puds

at least I don't have to cook later in the day any more

I thought I had it bad - getting up at 5am. What a lie-in that is!

I've started watching some really interesting programmes on BBC2 HD. It's aimed for kids, but by golly, they're good. Better than the grown up programmes - no joking.

Good luck with the new job - and the early cooking!

Forgot to make sure the kitten had food for morning and he let us know at 3.30 that this was NOT ON! Long day of baking ahead so thought I would stay up and sort internet and catch up on Masterchef before the day starts properly. :)

Morning all.

getting used to hubbys new shift of 3.30am start

woke up to terrific rain & wind

went up to lock the gates after hubby went

dogs did mouse hunting in the garage whilst I dug up 2 celeriac by torch light for making a soup for lunch

soup is now simmering and I've sat down to finish making some curtains - realise how bad my eye sight is getting trying to sew by energy saving bulbs

just thought I'd pop in and say morning  ;)

Morning all, 3rd night of insomnia approacheth.  ???

hope you managed to get some sleep eventually surbie
