Morning all. I'm staying home today while the others go off exploring castles and monastries. me old lrgs need a day off from traipsing but I'm sure I will find something interesting to do here....like picking the poor nrglected harvest and making more jam.

I hope you have a good time in the Lakes Ma, love it there too....but only out of season. My sister lives in Windermere.

Well, I'm dripping with sweat, and no jam made. Went out to try to save some tomatoes then found I had three full sized cues needing picking. Add those to the two OH picked this morning and the eight in the fridge, started to prepare for cucumber pickle. Shout at the gate and my 80 year old neighbour gives me seven more cues....and the chooks don't like them! Now 32 in the shade and goodness knows what in the sun so time to retire to the house.

Don't envy the others traipsing round the city and castle!

Yes we only have what we can collect off the shed roof but as I only pay £10 a year and I am only a quarter of a mile away. I only water new plantings till they get established.

Good morning everyone.  Looking not too bad this morning, a bit of rain last night, but not too much.  Might get some raspberry jam on the go :)

Hi Archi!

I'm here because I heard this crashing on the door with the dog wanting to go out...

Looked at the clock - sans glasses, thought I saw 5.59, so got up and let her out, only to see that it was 5.39...

Hey ho, it's not such a bad morning, and at least I got a breath of fresh air into the bargain!

Have a good day!

G.

Morning G

we have the birds using our TV aerial as a perch and they just love to sing.  I remember those days with our old boy wanting to go out...no need for an alarm clock :-)

TV aerials are great for better entertainment, aren't they!

The other evening, I heard all this birdsong coming from somewhere, and it was a thrush on ours, just belting out everything from Aida to Zorba the Greek!

Marvellous!
