Good ol' Brandywine for me, not as many 'creases' in the skin as other large toms.

Cheers,   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

The Which trial grounds are i still believe at Capel Manor Enfield. I have visited many times and the staff were very helpful.

Interesting. We really like Big Boy but might give Big Daddy a go next year. Daddy sounds like he might even be a bit bigger than Boy.

We get a F1 called super steak down here the are enormous!! And taste so sweet I had a couple last year that were about 600g+ in weight and it was a bad year! They make a fantastic Caprese salad tomato our favourite ! The other we grow is Coeur de Boeuf  a bit smaller but still huge and so tasty mmmmm. summer!

Shirley is one of my favourites.

However, it is not a beefsteak tomato, which is what the thread is about!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Isn't it strange how different people have different views. I can't stand Costoluto Fiorentino, I find them dry and too difficult to skin.

My real favourite is Summer Cider. Deep apricot colour and intense sweet taste.

However, its a good job we don't all like the same things  :D
