Tigrella tomato
« on: February 11, 2014, 21:05 »
Has anyone grown tigrella toms recently. I grew them a couple of years ago and the were very tasty. Have been looking out for seeds in the garden centres but no one seems to stock them.
Has anyone grown them or seen seeds recently

I did these last year, I think I may have got them somewhere simple like Wilkinsons, they were a multi pack that had 6 varieties,  including Orange berry, I was a bit disappointed with mine, they never seemed to mature from greenm they had the pretty stripes tho  :(

If you can get them to ripen they are lovely and tasty but they seem to need more sun than some varieties.

I bought a pack in the wye vale sale. Not grown them before but my grand daughters thought it would be fun to have stripes tomatoes.

I grew them last year too - they were really really tasty and I've got some seeds for trying to sneak them into the plot. The tomato moth caterpillars like them a lot too.
