Strange behaviour?
« on: February 04, 2014, 16:41 »
Hi All,
I have noticed the water feeder emptying quick quickly recently and now I know why I have witnessed from my window with my Binoculars that one of my girls is pecking water up from the feeder and dropping it on the floor to the amusement of the others does anyone know why she is doing this  :nowink:

One of my chickens washes her face, she starts off with her usual delicate drinking habit and then when its been really dry or she is somewhat muddy once she has had her fill she bobs her face into the water several times, shaking after each bob and then off to bed......  :nowink:

One of my hens would fill her crop before roosting then have a drink and then bend down to peck something else and gravity emptied the water back out.
FULL UP did not register with that one! :D
