planting compfrey between polytunnel and fence?
« on: January 24, 2014, 11:07 »
i'm looking for somewhere to put compfrey thats out of the way, preferably somewhere i wasn't going to use the space.

i did have a piece of ground in mind, might have now got carried away and decided to cultivate and grow fruit on that ground.

now the only spare bit of space i have has got manure or leaf mulch rotting down on it. (can't really move this anywhere else).

just thinking what space is not used and the only answer i can come up with is a 1 1/2 ft gap between polytunnel and fence.

most of this gap has the buried polythene in the bottom of the trench, don't know if this would be enough to stop the compfrey spreading into the tunnel?

i grow direct in the soil in the tunnel so beds with lining to protect against the compfrey is a no go.

thanks for any help.
