What to do with my Gardener's Delight Toms?
« on: September 03, 2013, 11:28 »
I have a glut of Gardener's Delights at home and still plenty on the plants.

Does anyone have any recipes or ideas on how to use them up?

Many thanks

Chutney, tomato sauce are two ideas.

John's main site has some recipes too:

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Most of my cherry toms, me and Pennydog just eat them as we pick!  But if I do have too many, like now, they just go into my freezer for soups and sauces like all the others.  ;)

Do that Ema, and if they still need a taste kick, just add a little bit of commercial tomato puree!   ;)

I use them with  onion and mini bell peppers for  my  shish kebabs :) they are ideal for on a skewer :) I even added some to the pan for the salsa with larger varieties ;)
