It would only be too early if the runners were severed from the parents before they had developed enough to grow away strongly on their own.

I would suggest that a minimum of 4 proper leaves and at least a few decent roots is the earliest you should be moving them.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

How old are they? That is the only problem as Jayg said above. They must have at least 4 leaves.

I do mine in weed fabric and grow beautifully.. I find it keeps the weeds down, slugs away, conserves water and the berries are obviously kept clean.

I've merged your posts  ;)

was it woven weed membrane, you used - which will let rain water through.

or was it black plastic sheeting which won't.

It was woven quite tight. Maybe it takes time to soak though.

Mine is a woven poly proplyene like bags are made of and lets the water through straight away. You need to test yours as it may be waterproof..

Can you post a piccie of it if possible. You dont want it to be too water tight as it will run off and you will loose loads of water if it takes a while to go through.
