And savoys too. You must have some soil there Micky  :D
Are you sure you don't live in Chernobyl.
On a serious note how did you prepare your soil or is it a fresh plot possibly ?

I didn't realise it grew so big, hopefully the slugs don't eat it all before I do!

This is my first year, I got the plot at the end of Feb and my aim for this year was to get the ground work done, the digging, the fence, the greenhouse, shed and the separate beds laid out with a hope to get time to stick in some veggies, thankfully all went to plan!
The ground preparation consisted of the digging and throwing on some chicken pellets before planting, the rest is more down to luck than judgement, the cabbages seem to have gone very well albeit some did suffer from clubroot! I guess the previous holder had put spuds in the area where the cabbages are as I dug up loads when I dug it over. I was also told that the previous holder had always kept it well manured - so despite the digging I think I inherited a good one.  :)

Yikes - Those are monsters!

Some of the Savoy's were actually supposed to be Cauliflowers, I brought them from B&Q as small plants in the little plastic strips (ran out of time to grow everything from seed) turned out some 'joker' had swapped the labels over - good job I like cabbage lol.
